I'd agree with the firefighter one. As for stress there were days when I couldn't sleep because I was forming action scenarios for imaginary crises.

Dealing with personnel problems was also very stressful too.

I guess I should have kept reading. Also 19, 26, 28... shows me that whoever came up with this list took it from federal gov't job descriptions where nobody has to wear multiple hats. Working for a small company you end up doing lots of different jobs.

Network Admin
DBA
Network Engineer
Software Developer
Business development (proposal writing)
Physical security (2 locations)
Network Security

That literally would be 7 different jobs in a gov't organization.

Well, if you average the median income for each does it come out about right?

The salary thing for my job couldn't be more off. Nobody makes the "average" which is misleading to the point of being criminal.

Salaries are all low. That being said, I function as a CIO of sorts too. I just don't have the title (like I said, small business). Thanks to wearing so many hats I do get the bonus of a much better salary. :)

Oh okay.

It's interesting to see the median salaries for all these jobs.

So, Lumberjack is the worst.

Either mine is so awesome they didn't have to rank it or it's outside the bottom 200.

Until you lose an appendage.

(Although, perhaps losing an appendage makes being a lumberjack only uncool to the person who lost the appendage?)
