KC/Oakland last night. I turned it on in the 7th inning with KC down 7-3 because I just had a feeling. KC is pretty fun to watch although the last time they were in the post-season they beat the Cards for the World Series.

RE: One of the best baseball games I've seen in a while
Last night's game was electric. That crowd was something. The Royals have many Memphis ties. If you remember, the Memphis Chicks were a long time AA affiliate of KC in the 80's and 90's. A Memphian, Avron Fogelman, actually owned them during their last World Series and a few years after that. The 1985 World Series trophy, or a copy of it, is on display at the Fogelman headquarters building on Poplar in East Memphis.

I am so tired today due to that game. Worth it though. Since the Braves are not in the playoffs I'm jumping on that KC bandwagon.

With a little help from Don Denkinger. It was unfortunate what that man had to go through after that call.

As far as I am concerned, the Royals paid their penance for beating the Cardinals by going 29 years out of the playoffs. It was exciting to see them fight back and win that game last night.

Yeah, as long as they don't do it again this year.

Funny but Denkinger shows up on some lists but not in a good way. ESPN #1 Worst Calls in Sports History.

In terms of a single day...single game...that reminded me of 2011 when on the last day of the season TBay beat New York in extra innings about 5 minutes after Boston lost in dramatic fashion to Baltimore to fall out of the playoffs and TBay slid in.

Great baseball.

The Pirates are laying an egg tonight.

But yes, last night was something else. Kansas City is close to me here in NWA. It's a great sports town and resembles Memphis in many ways. What a doubleheader 2 nights in a row for KC. Host MNF and crush the Pats. Then last night to top it off.
