RE: NIU-Kent weather ... a taste of November
I saw snow flurries this morning and was psyched to go watch football in cold weather. I mean I love going to warm games in shorts and tees but I really look much better covered up! LOL

I'd rather go in shorts and a T - no matter how bad I look. Come to think about it, I look quite good in shorts and a T!!

What a miserable day. I'm still trying to warm up.

Really? I thought it wasn't near as bad as expected. Ended up having pretty decent weather.

Took me a good half hour to get my feet back to normal. Glad the rain and wind died down. It could've been a lot worse.

That's because you tailgate on the east side where the wind isn't quite as bad. Out in the Convo lot it was just brutal. No windbreaks at all & the wind was cold & roaring thru.

Oh, yeah I suppose. I also wore winter boots and thick socks. :) I basically dressed like it was late November!

We did too. Lots of layers. I felt like the temp was totally tolerable except for that damn wind. Oh well - it IS DeKalb!

I don't believe it. Yesterday at the game in the West stands wasn't bad at all. It was getting a little cool in the second half and could have used a hot chocolate, but there was none available. Will have to bring in booze next week.

That wind off the convo, water tower and track lot was nuts. The Yard was not as comfortable as the West Stands. Though it must have been nice in the East stands that 5 or 6 min the sun came out!

I saw a ton of people having their own bottle of something in the stands. Found it interesting because our blankets were searched very well.

Even with the cold wind we would have had another 2k in the stands...and my wife would have had a better time because my kids would have had a better time.

RE: NIU-Kent weather ... a taste of November
The wind was really bad in the Convo lot. In the west stands it was quite a bit better. I took my gloves off in the game (I'm a social butterfly & text back and forth with several Huskie fans while the game is going on) and had no problem. Wasn't doing that during the tailgate, that was for sure.

What a suckass day.

Could have been worse. Our D coordinator came with me to the NIU game. A bunch of our other coaches went to South Bend for the Stanford-ND game. They got rained on, too. Now that would have had me standing at Fatty's in order to watch the game.
