BUT WAIT - SMU was offsides, so no safety.

I challenge anyone to find worse execution - on both sides of the ball.

Offsides with THREE down linemen? That should be 10 yards instead of 5.

A very poorly coached team!

I'm going with the QB knew he had a "free play" due to the offsides, and just wanted to be immortalized forever on YouTube. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

It could have been worse. They could have gotten the safety or even worse, could have thrown an interception in their own end zone.

Yeah, that's what I'm waiting for now - inept offense throws interception which never leaves the endzone, but inept defense nullifies the play through penalty. That may be the worst possible play.
