I really get a kick out of all these "media experts" pre-season predictions. I think I should consider changing my profession, as I know these teams better than they do.

Dilks is probably the poorest commentator SBN has. Ranks right up there with the broad that was the CCHA poster....I think the Big10 is stuck with her...she was so good I can't remember her name! I like how he made Kovacs a sophomore...if only it were true...then we'd have him for 3 years!

After reading that article,you can tell this guy hasn't seen one practice.A made up story by a guy who hasn't followed WMU hockey over the summer and early fall.

This guy is good at the made up story. Don't know why he gets so much play at SBN!

There are a couple more Dilks NCHC previews. Not that I'm trying to drive traffic to his blog, but if you are familiar with the other teams in the NCHC, you'll see his previews on most of the other teams are also off.

With the internet and all the crazed "can't get enough/don't have a life" hockey fans like us, Unfortunatly, we are the ones who are creating the opportunities for these so call "media experts".

Last year I got banned from USCHO for critiquing Candice Horgran "hockey knowledge". How the Art/History major, ever got a job writing and editing two weekly blog posts and one weekly column with USCHO and the Denver Post, covering teams in the NCHC is beyond me. Her true areas of expertise is covering the "Rocky Mountain High" at concerts, while backpacking and skiing.

I got banned from USCHO for calling Paula Weston out. Ferris or somebody had blown the doors off UM in a weekend series, we had swept somebody, and there were a few other big series, and the ENTIRE Column was about "oh my god, how will UM ever recover?". I'm pretty sure i only ever made 3 comments on that site.
