Turmoil in AA
Surprised i haven't seen a thread about this here yet. I'd be very surprised if Hoke and Brandon are both still employed within a week.

That being said, watching the school whose fans/alumni/students have always told me they're better than me just "because it's michigan" fall because of such an idiotic mistake is some glorious schadenfreude.

The worst thing about it is, if Michigan was winning, the fans would be defending Hoke to their deaths. Most hypocritical, spoiled, group of fans that have no reason to feel that way because their team has sucked for a long time. Unfortunately, I have to live among this whiny fan base.

Morris should have never been in game in first place.

He's obviously not ready to play, even against Minnesota at home.

Hoke and Nussmeier panicked after getting shut out at ND and struggling against Utah.

And before that - Brandon set it all in motion when he forced Hoke to fire Borges after last season.

RE: Turmoil in AA
I was talking to someone about QB decisions recently. It used to be if a guy clearly didn't have it on a particular day, you would bring in the backup, ala a relief pitcher in baseball. Hell, Troy Aikman has been pulled before. It doesn't mean you are changing your starting QB, just means you have to try someone else that day. I started thinking about that when KirK Cousins looked like he was in Shane Falco's quicksand last Thursday.

Shane Morris should've been pulled at the half. If you want to see what he has got, start him against Rutgers the next week.

The best thing about not living in Michigan is not dealing with them and their delusional conception of their school and athletic programs. I do enjoy that they're getting what they deserve for thinking UM affiliation was all that was needed to be on top of the highly competitive world of college football. Now they have what appears to be two incompetent "Michigan Men" floundering. Well deserved.

I found it entertaining as the cameras would pan the scUM crowd. I'm not exaggerating when I say every glum face that put the camera on was a 350 pound Walmarter with an XXXL piss yellow t shirt on. Either the camera man was trying to find every fat Walmarter, or 50% of the fan base is made up of Walmart Wolves.

The last scUM game I went to was when Western played in the Hole. We were tailgating in an office parking lot and had our flag up. The only person who gave us any jazz was a fat blond guy with a mullet, wearing the piss yellow Walmart t-shirt.

Looks like there was a big protest at the scUM's president's house. About 1,000 students protested over the state of their football program.
I have yet to find a more arrogant fan base.

This run of bad luck could not have happened to a nicer fan base and university.

RE: Turmoil in AA
I'll say this, though: If Morris comes out and makes a case that it looked worse than it really was and much of his limping/wooziness was due to his ankle & general exhaustion of getting his butt kicked (yes, exaggeration, but...) .... *and* UM ends up winning, with little to no turnovers -- and they beat MSU or Ohio State, and end up 6-2 in the conference?

NO UM FAN WILL BE ASKING FOR HIS HEAD. They will be PRAISING HIM. :)

They'll still be fully prepared to lynch Dave Brandon, though. Can't say i blame them either.

They may be stuck with Brandon for a bit. How many multi million $ severance packages can UM afford in just a few short years? Cost them $3m, to jettison Brandon and more to kick out Hoke. On top of that, aren't they still paying Rich Rod?

Speaking of arrogance in AA, Eugene and South Bend, I've never seen anything like the fan base in Gainesville. If you think the Walverines are bad, let me tell you, they have absolutely nothing on the Gatorwear adorned rednecks and methheads down here!

If you want a fun dose of people watching in an arrogant fanbase, read the comments on http://www.al.com/. Your head will hurt, guaranteed.
