RE: Basketball TV schedule
TXST hasn't had a watchable basketball team in over a decade. It's going to take a lot for people to start caring again.

Schools are free to set up their own tier 3 television broadcasts for any game provided the game is only on TV in a Sun Belt State or a state bordering the Sun Belt State, and the feed is made available to ESPN3.
ESPN3 is the Tier 2 network, and they have the right to pick any 5 conference games they want and offer them exclusively, and then Tier 1 ESPN gets two games for ESPN2 broadcast, plus any other games they want.
For the football version of this. NMSU is using its tier 3 rights to broadcast the Georgia Southern game locally in NM, Arizona, Texas, and a couple other states. They then worked out a deal with Georgia Southern to send the feed to Sport South in Atlanta, which will broadcast the game in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolina's. This is perfectly acceptable provided the schools offer the feed to ESPN3 for National Pick up, and that their feeds stay in Sun Belt States or states bordering Sun Belt States to give ESPN the exclusive National Window rights.

Okay. It sounds like we can keep our tv deal then.

Provided they are willing to offer their feed to ESPN3, and don't start trying to find subscribers in St Paul, MN it works out fine.

In the past its always been on ESPN3. Of course the Valley is big with ESPN3 as well so it shouldn't be much of a problem.
