I said we should cut off all transit to and from Africa.

You're an idiot. How are gonna tell tell him he's paranoid when there may be a case of ebola floating around his home town? Its not like there's an easy breezy cure for it around every corner.

RE: Oh great, Ebola in Dallas, Tx?
The United States has its first confirmed case of the Ebola virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Tuesday, marking the first domestic appearance of the deadly virus that has ravaged swaths of continental Africa.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas officials said in a statement earlier Monday that an unnamed patient was being tested for Ebola and had been placed in "strict isolation" due to the patient's symptoms and recent travel history.

Bound to happen sooner or later given modern aviation, etc.

You are too good to believe at times. Way to represent the leftists here. Well done. If there was Ebola in Memphis, you would call everyone in Memphis paranoid I guess.

1. in it's history has ebola ever been reported in europe or the US

2. I can think of a certain poster from alabama who has a lot of crow to eat

3. can we please not make this political? I already saw one poster comment that this was due to illegals crossing the border 03-banghead

RT is Putin's national channel. It is to Putin what MSNBC is to Obama.

lemme put it this way. I would rather watch FNC for 24 hours straight than to watch 5 min of RT.

it stands for russia today and is notorious for letting the russian gov't dictate what they report and making the west look bad any chance they get.

seriously, that is a massive amount of BS.

what RT does for putin is nowhere near what msnbc & obama does.

Not sure that was necessary. I wouldn't trust RT to tell me what's happening in Ukraine; but since the guy they were interviewing is from Samaritan's Purse, which has been right there at the seen of the outbreak since the beginning, I think you can take this one at face value.

RE: Oh great, Ebola in Dallas, Tx?
Well I just got home from a long day of work. I had several visitors from out of town with me all day. They received alerts on their phones advising them of an outbreak in the area they were traveling.

So no, I don't think I'm being paranoid. Let's hope they caught it early enough and the person didn't infect anyone else. I've heard they are monitoring his family as well as the transport service and the medical facility he was first treated at.

I'm not one to sound the alarm bell but this stuff is very nasty to contain control and I personally believe we sent troops to Africa to keep it from getting here. Lots of good that did.
