If you paid more attention to other teams you wouldn't have to ask these questions.

Their offense is typical Tuberville: great passing, run game is an afterthought. They're giving up 45+ points per game on defense, but some of that has to do with their high total snaps per game.

Their defense is really, really, really bad. I think it comes down to how well our D line can pressure Gunner Kiel, and how well we run the ball and control the clock.

This is a gut check game. Time to see if we can go on the road and beat a "decent" team that we're supposed to beat. There are no more "moral victories" on the schedule this year.

lol I watched Cincy this year but this was for Cincy fans to share some info that we as opposing fans wouldn't know. Go back back to Volnation Cane, you got a big game against Florida coming.

You haven't watched ****, or else you wouldn't be posting this. If you had watched a team, why do you need someone else to tell you about the team that you watched? So thirsty.

Ok go argue with someone else. I don't have time for you today.

It what sense are we supposed to beat Cincinatti? We're an underdog on the road.

I don't really disagree that this is a game we want to win if we want to continue being viewed as legitimate and that losing, even if we play well, won't be salved by knowing we were just playing a team that outclassed us, because we aren't this time. Sure, no moral victory in this one. A loss is just a loss this week. It's a measuring stick to see how far we've really come.

But this is still isn't one we're supposed to win.

Another moral victory ?

There is a limit of one moral victory per season.

Personal preference or group choice?

What's the scouting report on Cincy?
(09-30-2014 11:13 AM)FranklinTNTiger Wrote:  This will be a "measuring stick" game on how we compare with one of the upper level teams in AAC. The Middle game was a measuring stick and so will this one.

I see us winning this game, our defense will clamp down on the Bearcats and offense will do damage to their weak defense. The Bearcats will have a hard time tackling Mr. Cooper!!

Does anyone see this as a critical game for both teams? I do. I think the winner goes on to a successful season and the other takes a dive and finishes worse than everyone thought.

I don't know about "salve", but it should be noted that (1) Cincy has enjoyed the advantage of recruiting as a BCS auto-bid program for over a decade and (2) they have home field advantage. Winning this important game will be an impressive accomplishment in my book.

RE: What's the scouting report on Cincy?
Would be a decent win to be sure but not sure about classifying it as an impressive accomplishment unless you are talking about how far you guys have come from finishing at the bottom last year.

UC had to make a last minute stand to preserve a win against a team that has lost 22 games in a row. Our D has been dreadful all 3 games. And playing at PBS while the construction is going on at Nippert is no where near the home field advantage since Paul Brown is a bit sterile. Hoping for a good game, though.

We may be down our #1 & #2 RBs and possibly our #1 defensive lineman still may be out. That's not good.
