Sadly, the peach has the worst time slot for a national game. Unlike New Years, New Year's Eve is not a Holiday. I have been Blessed only had to work once in my career, it was culture shock for me the one time I had to work Dec 26 and Dec 31st. All but that one time in my career I have had that entire week off. I learned many have not had that luxury in there career. I have a sneaking suspicion that time slot will be owned by the G5.

Really? That's when you learned that? Most people have never had that luxury.

How is that a dream? That would mean we play a mediocre team in a mediocre bowl and that is not impressive. I wish people would stop drooling to play Texas and A&M. We should expect more as a fan base. Let the SWC go.

RE: Bowl Projections
ECU - Peach Bowl (P5 opponent)
Cincy - Birmingham Bowl (SEC opponent)
UCF - St Pete Bowl (ACC team, practical home game)
Temple - Military Bowl (ACC opponent)
Houston - Armed Forces Bowl (Big 12 opponent)
Memphis - Miami Beach Bowl (C-USA opponent)

If I had to guess...

So you're predicting BYU will make an access bowl at large or the 4 team playoff?

A less douchey way to say that would be: "I think BYU signed a deal with the Miami Beach Bowl"

And I would respond "oh, I didn't know that...good info"

would be a dream in perspective, we've lost to utsa and already burned our chance for a "special year"

we have history with texas, our schools hand sign came from the 2 texas games,
despite the oobvious of what that could mean for us in in-state recruiting, the obvious of what that would do for us in casual fan interest, this would be a great notch to that story...
this has nothing to do with SWC ...but that texas is the biggest brand in college football, football success aside

i really didnt care about that texas basketball win as texas isnt a basketball power and they werent that good that year..

but youd be blind to ignore what a game like this (played in texas) could do for our program and how we'd be viewed in the state, especially seeing how the season started..

this bowl possibility would be a dream and youd be blind to ignore that

A mediocre UH team played a mediocre UT team in a mediocre basketball tournament and was the highest attended game of the year. For what it's worth.

UH vs UT in checkers would be a well attended match.

Like pesik stated, outside of the access bowl this is the best outcome. You play UT just a few hours away in a manageable venue to sell out...I'd take it.
