In compliance with Illinois liquor laws, each DeKalb Beer Fest Patron will receive 20 drink tickets which can each be redeemed for a 3oz sample. Festival participants may also buy an additional 10 tickets during the event for an additional $10.

I've been to events with these rules too and most the beer vendors won't even take your tickets. :)

Its policy. They are "supposed" to do a 3 oz pour too.

Get the puke buckets lined up. Beer Festivals are just nasty. It is all you can drink for 3 hours and you want your moneys worth.

I have been the one in Denver several times. They are a lot of fun if you pace yourself. Perfect timing for this one. Get the word out.

I have been to a few. Never had a problem. Actually, the crowds are usually a tad older. not a bunch of 21 year olds. If you plan ahead and have a DD all is good. Ale fests are great, get to try many beers, good music, food and company. Plus most are outside.

Older than college bars younger than a wine and cheese event. Mid thirties is probably average and usually awesome people. Wife and I love em.
