We run the no huddle spread with a lanky 6'7" QB. RB with the most yds was injured last week, we'll miss his speed but have serviceable backs available. We got completely shut down last week by a really good OM defense. It will be interesting to see how the offense responds this week.
We'll have to score a ton to keep up with your offense.
I came over here to see if anyone wanted to discuss the game at an adult level because the unruly kids have ruined the discussion on this game on the AAC board. I'll check back tomorrow to see if there is any interest.
Probably a high scoring game, close.

You'll have no issues scoring unless something suddenly changes here. That's really unlikely. Our DTs are performing miserably and you guys have the ability to run the football. If you control the clock and keep our offense off the field you have a solid shot to win. We're going to get some scores, that's what we do. We can score on anyone. But with our unreliable D we can lose to anyone.

I too expect a close game with plenty of lights on the scoreboard.
The betting line being about where I would expect it to be at a touchdown+/-. Our defense is a little more established than our offense, so the Bearcat offense matched against the Tiger defense will be interesting to watch.
Both of us came off of emotional last last week, so the coach that can keep a high level of intensity throughout the game should hold a significant advantage.

If the game were at Nippert I'd feel a lot better about our chances. When Nippert gets going it is definitely a factor. PBS is quieter and more generic.
Until and unless we can make a jump and get better on D, every game will be an adventure. We could win by 21 or lose a shootout. Who knows.

I think this one can go either way. Memphis has a much better defense, UC has a better offense. I see something like 32-28 or 38-35 etc.

I am more worried about their offense than their very good defense. I watched that UCLA game and they looked very skilled running the ball and throwing vertically. Almost won on the road on the west coast against a top 10 team. That doesn't happen by accident.

I, too, like a more adult conversation. Smack talk's ok, but gets tiring after a while.
Memphis will probably end up being the most improved team in the American this year. Which is good, because we need as many as we can get.
I'm rooting for the Bearcats but, honestly, don't have a clue which way this one will go. It's a great test for our defense - like to see what, if anything's, been done to fix the gaping holes.
I'm confident our offense will probably score 35 points - just hope to contain Memphis.
Looking forward to a great game and atmosphere.
GO BEARCATS!

Welcome Memphis fans I hope both teams have a good game -- with no injuries to anyone. It should be a fun time.
BTW, when you get back to Memphis, stop in Corky's and tell 'em that QSECOFR said "Hi!". D@mn! I love their food!

This sums it up nicely. If I had to choose one word to describe this year's UC team it would be "frightening." Their offense is frighteningly good and will keep them in every game they play. Their defense is frighteningly bad and will lose a few games they shouldn't. This might be one of them.

Agree...our offense will have to sustain more drives for us to have any success this year.

Although it's exciting to see a quick score from Kiel, this offense needs more consistency. Not only were they abysmal last week outside of a few big scoring plays, they're also not giving the defense a rest. We have to show something on offense other than a few big explosive plays.

Back in the day Dantonio and Tredwell were big on sustained drives. I will take five 1:30 drives a game all day long.

As long as the D doesn't give up 1:30 drives.

Agreed. Put 7 on the board, I don't care how it is done.

I will take those as well...but we are also missing opportunities to just move the chains and keep the ball in our hands and away from the other team. Just a few more first down conversions would have helped our cause against OSU.
