I have as little idea about where the country is headed as the next guy, but I do see where it is: lots of backseat drivers and hindsight judges pronouncing sentences on whomever ***** up at anything. Except themselves.
Well...I tend to think it's a good idea to judge events for what they are rather than where I think they fit in terms of some grand statement about the nature of society. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and sometimes a guy ******* up is just a guy ******* up.
Mistakes like the one Hoke and Brandon made are beyond the pale and need to be addressed.

Why is ESPN always leading the way in a witch hunt to get people fired?

ESPN is all about sensationalism. Every game is hyped like it's a championship. Every story needs to be a crusade for human rights.
ESPN has taken the enjoyment and entertainment out of sports. It's filled with sanctimonious, low IQ sports journalists, who believe they too will find a version of "All the President's Men" to star in.

That's not really the case here. The local media isn't turning loose of the story.... it was the lead story yesterday on most sportscasts and online publications. You also have a group of people locally who really don't like Brandon. Some of that is motivated by a general dissatisfaction with the corporatization of the athletic department and some of it is political. Brandon is viewed as a serious contender for the GOP nomination for Governor in he next election cycle and there is no shortage comrades in The People's Republic of Ann Arbor willing to kneecap him right now.

And stupid: you don't gain any competitive advantage by sending out a QB who is almost out on his feet. It seems obvious that they didn't know/hadn't been told. Your narrative suggest several things that are just your opinion, and are not really facts in evidence. How do you know what was going through Hoke's mind, or the other coaches? It's a major screw-up, and they should be accountable and will be when parents advise their sons on whether playing for these coaches is a good idea. They need to clean up the way they handle injuries.
I just don't get this country's recent obsession with wanting to fire anyone who screws up. Donald Trump must wield a powerful influence on people.
Don't really give a **** about Trump or your feelings on where 'Merica is a headin'...
97.1 had a guest on this afternoon who was on the sidelines...he said the triaing staff was screaming to get Morris out of there. His teammate had to literally hold him up to keep him from falling...he was out on his feet. I don't need to read Hoke's mind to know that he should have seen what was going on and pulled the kid oimmediately. Failing to do so put the kid at a risk for a serious injury..putting the kid back in was completely inexcusable. Showing such a blatant disregard for the health of the players that you pledged to take care of while they are under your supervision ( a huge part of any recruiting pitch) is absolutely grounds for termination. Will get fired now? No...that isn't how it works in college football. Generally, coaches get to finish the season. Should he be fired now? yes...he should.
I'm 99% certain he's gone 10 minutes after the OSU game
Actually, I don't believe it was a guest, but a caller only identifying himself as "Joseph" who claimed to be on the sideline and hearing all of this.

I think he was somewhere between a caller and a guest...from what I've read...didn't hear the call...One of the hosts, Terry Foster from the News, "vetted" him to some extent prior to the segment being aired
