Us MAC West teams (besides Toledo) have been getting screwed out of nice weather home games!

For real. NIU's first home game was played under swamplike conditions and now the 2nd home game is tomorrow in which the weather is supposed to be in the upper 40's with huge winds that will make it feel like it's in the 30's 04-chairshot

It's hard to remember them all when you've already had 4 home games. WMU, EMU, and NIU have only had one so far and it's already October.

Horrible horrible scheduling.

It'll be tough to keep that going for 3 more games unless we start winning..

RE: MAC Avg Home Attendance (through Week 5)
Here's the same numbers with % to capacity added. Let me know if any of the stadium capacity numbers are incorrect and I'll adjust. For UMass I split the difference between Gillette and McGuirk.

24,119 Ohio (25,211 + 23,027)
22,226 Western Michigan (22,226)
21,756 Buffalo (20,329 + 24,714 + 21,139 + 20,841)
21,014 Bowling Green (18,311 + 23,717)
20,662 Central Michigan (15,793 + 25,531)
19,924 Toledo (20,184 + 24,196 + 17,229 + 18,087)
19,235 UMass (30,479 + 10,227 + 17,000)
19,055 Kent State (22,754 + 15,355)

18,613 MAC Average (521,151/28)

17,838 Miami (19,005 + 16,670)
12,760 Ball State (9,659 + 15,860)
12,398 Northern Illinois (12,398)
11,231 Akron (9,104 + 13,357)
8,748 Eastern Michigan (8,748)

------------------------------------

Percentage of Stadium Capacity:

100.5% Ohio (24,000)
88.6% Bowling Green (23,724)
76.2% Kent State (25,000)
75.9% Toledo (26,248)
75.0% Buffalo (29,013)
73.6% Western Michigan (30,200)
73.4% Miami (24,286)
68.4% Central Michigan (30,199)

66.5% MAC Average (27,981)

56.7% Ball State (22,500)
48.6% Northern Illinois (25,500)
44.9% UMass (42,878)
37.4% Akron (30,000)
29.0% Eastern Michigan (30,200)

Not so fast my friend.

Quote:The current east side bleachers were constructed after the 2002 season and were completed in time for the 2003 season opener. The configuration slightly altered the stadium's seating capacity reducing it from 30,520 to 29,287 before the latest renovations reduced capacity to the current figure of 25,319.

RE: MAC Avg Home Attendance (through Week 5)
Miami's capacity down to 24.2K after the last round of renovations...took out south end zone bleachers (in favor of Cradle of Coaches Plaza) and built new, smaller endzone seats in north endzone where there were bleachers as well. New East (student) side is actually larger than the previous side 45 rows vs. only 30 rows), so the overall effect actually makes the stadium look bigger even though it's smaller in capacity. when they finish the IPF then the focus will be on suites...not much of an impact to capacity, thought. All very elemental because until Miami starts winning, we don't need more seats, just people in them.
