Their defense is legit. It pains me to give them any compliments...but their D was as good as advertised.

I saw a couple plays where it looked like they could have made a catch but totally pulled up on the route when they saw that big safety lurking.

I would, too. That cat was bad news!

That's why some become NFL players and the others do other things.07-coffee3

No argument here. They earn their dollars

RE: WRs holding us back?
The Tiger offense is markedly better than any Tiger offense in recent years and should perform with greater efficiency in future games this season. The WR's were not the problem last night. We were simply overwhelmed by a superior defense The good news is our defense played at an SEC level last night.

The offensive line was not good enough for OM defense. I don't think our wide receivers made a block all night.

Our WRs are better than last year, no comparision. Our weakest link right now seems to be the offensive line. We had a couple of busts in the secondary last night we got away with. When we rushed with only 3 guys, OM got first downs. No pressure, can't cover guys for an extended time.

We might not see that defense but you can bet every team we play will look at that film to see what Ole Miss was doing scheme wise.

RE: WRs holding us back?
Our wide recievers are not that big, maybe not the best talented, but they have over achieved based on skill set this year. The whole team has.

I'd much rather have these guys than a 5 star receiver with an attitude any day.

And I'd much rather have a sophomore Paxton Lynch than 5 year starter Bo Wallace.

You can scheme all you want but if the players aren't talented enough to execute it successfully than it really isn't that big of a deal. I think the offensive line can hold its own with most these defenses in the American. Houston's blitz packages would be something to watch though

I disagree.... I will take 5* wide receiver recruits any time and manage their attitudes on a daily basis!

That's just it,,,coaches shouldn't be spending their time managing players attitudes. Just pick responsible players who have talent regardless of how many stars they have next to their name and coach them up.

Our WR's are talented and I personally don't think they have over achieved, nor has the team, they have bought into the system of fundamental football. Mississippi's defense is really good and dominated the line and blanketed the WR's.

That being said, in talking with one of our coaches today, he said that that if anything, we really exposed Wallace as their weakest link on offense.

Proud of our guys the way they stood against them for 3 quarters. I knew that if it came down the way it did, our defense would become exhausted and it showed. That's the difference right now between the P5 conferences and the others, the 2's are as good as our 1's and can give the starters the rest they need to finish off a game.

That's my 2 cents.

Really? Do you realize what question you are asking? I can't deal with idiots who ask ridiculous questions. What was the score at halftime?
