I remember the Pony Express days. Daum that was fun to watch. You guys will be back.should have fired June 2 years ago any outsider could see it..you guys ought to chase down Steve Logan...he's from Oklahoma...he always said the best gig would be at a private school with money to put behind the program...

Yes, I remember being at UConn in the early 80's and seeing the Pony Express on TV. Great players, great uniforms, etc. They looked cool.

Then I arrived at SMU in the late 80's and it all fell apart ....

I don't know if SMU has the desire or ability to duplicate what TCU was able to do. I think they do. I hope they do. We'll see.

They do not need Steve Logan…It would be the same type of situation they just gone down dealing with. An older coach in the twilight of his career who no longer has the fire and desire to recruit and one with a defeated attitude when it comes to the entire P5 vs G5 deal.

Wasn't Steve Logan that Cincinnati PG from like 12 years ago?

With the budget SMU has to hire a HC there is no reason why they will not be back very soon. It is a good job in a recruiting hot bed with great facilities.

Steve Logan the UC player once outscored Southern Mississippi's entire team in a game. He had 39 and they scored 37.

Tired of fans living in the past. SMU controls their own destiny and in recent years their administration has been apathetic.

Smoo is annoying as hell when they're good, but I agree, I want them back to competing for conference championships. It makes our rivalry so much more fun.

I admit hard that I have purple glasses on sometimes. If I was SMU Id look for someone young and hungry.....Lincoln Riley would fit that mold. Didn't he coach some at TT? Would he have any Texas ties? Not to mention I got to think the athletes you have would fit in well with what he does, which is chuck it all over the field. You pair him up with a strong Defensive Coordinator. Don't get me wrong I dont' want Riley to leave, but if I was looking for a coach that wasn't washed out Id look for someone like him young, hungry and something to prove.

Maybe I am again being to over the top for him, but I truly believe ECU's success is from his offense....and Ruffin's family coaching style. Im not saying Carden and Hardy isn't great, but I think its the system more than the players, as were just plaugging folks in at this point.
