There is a place called Papi's with 4 locations. Family from Santiago de Cuba that has been out of Cuba less than 20 years. So really authentic. Quite a few others. Some I sorely miss like Kool Korners grocery in Midtown near GT. Was an octagenarian Jewish Cuban couple making sandwiches. There a lot of places to be truthful. Nut like I said, not the same as a Cuban restaurant in every neighborhood.

I just watched a program last week that was talking about all of the Jewish folks that lived in the Caribbean for a looong time. Most are unaware, like me.

Pollo Tropical is my favorite. They opened one up in Smyrna last year (I think it was) and I always bring friends/family there when I can.

I love black beans with white rice. I don't see it here so much. When my wife and I went to Costa Rica they would serve it at every meal. I never complained. LOL
