So you didn't watch a single game and just looking at the score I see

1) if these scores were surprising to anyone in any way you clearly haven't been keeping up with college football at all..

2) usf actually put up a decent game tied at half but made a huge mistake in the 4th that would have given them a legitimate chance at winning, they were down 10 and threw a strike for a 50 yd gain but the wr tried to fight for more yards instead of going out of bounds and he was stripped, that usf game was lot closer than the score indicated..

After seeing our brutal OOC schedule for the last 3 weeks. If we lose to anyone including UCF or UC we don't deserve to be ranked ever, we will forever be the chokers.

But i digress this isn't about ECU. There is some serious gap between (UCF,UC, ECU) and (USF,SMU,Tulane and Tulsa)

I don't think USF deserves any hate today. Wisconsin is a good team, and it was, IMO, a close game until the WR turnover. I picked Tulane as my upset pick in the prediction thread, and I was a little surprised by the lopsided score.

I have a feeling we'll make SMU look like the freakin' Mean Machine next week.

Well, I guess i'm having Holtz-era WTF game flashbacks. And x2 on the SMU sentiments. To go from Phil Bennett's dud years to bowl games and winning records with June Jones to now this...its gotta be tough.

I know I know. I'm actually very worried about a few conference games this year that we should win but end up losing in jaw dropping fashion. It happens damn near every season when we start off like this. I'm hoping this is the year we finally win every game we're supposed to, after beating a couple of big names. The targets on our back, but we've got the Access Bowl in our pockets if we can just hold on.....I'm praying very hard that history doesn't repeat itself....

If we lose to UC, or UCF we won't be "chokers" we would've lost to a good team, and a one quite possibly better than us. Judging by your criteria no team should ever be ranked, since each and every team has lost a game they were favored in before.

There's ONE school out there that I wouldn't be surprised at all if I was accused of being a fan of.--In fact, I fully expected it until I got hit with all the CUSA, MWC and Sun Belt troll smack talk. Not once, has anyone on here accused me of being a fan of the school I'm referring to. All you gotta do is read my bio. I do have one thing that no one else on here has though, and I'm proud to have it: A diploma from ECU with my name on it.

There was nothing embarrassing about the USF game. They played much better than expected.

Did you expect much else out of these 3? Really?

SMU - Might be the worst team in D-1 or close to it. How many points do they have for the year?

Tulane - Nothing against them, but I never expect much out of them.

USF - Actually played "ok". White seems to be passing well and some of this receivers need to catch the ball. It looks like they will get slightly better as the year moves forward. Best players are all young.


We just need 3-4 teams that play well and it doesn't matter what the bottom does. Boise State made a living off wins over the WAC/MWC which is pretty much useless on the field. ECU looks like they can make some noise. Cincy is a big question mark still with that close game to Miami(ohio). Memphis should be good. UCF is another big question mark. I think Temple will end up being a top 4 team in the AAC.
