Florida Tech
The Florida Tech Panthers are a D-II program from Melbourne, FL. They fielded their first team in 2013, and are 3-0 coming into this season, with an FCS win over Stetson. They play in the Palm Bay Pirates stadium (high school). I know there are a million other D-I teams in FL, but I can see this team making its way into FCS soon, and possibly into the Sunbelt. What do you guys think?

No.

BTW, beating a ranked DII team is a lot better than beating a PFL team no matter what the nutty FCS rules say about what counts as a "DI" win for playoff purposes.

I'm not gonna pile on the Panthers just yet, given App's current body of work.

I think Melbourne is a beautiful area. Maybe they could make it to d1AA but I really doubt they will make it Sun Belt any time soon if ever

We don't need any teams in this conference with a track around the field.

I googled their stadium. I'm not sure it can hold more than 5,000 people. At best they are decades away from even being in the discussion.

While we are at it, perhaps we should keep an eye on Florida Polytechnic (not to be confused with Florida Tech), Florida Southern (not to be confused with South Florida), and Ave Maria (not to be confused with Liberty).
