If it's true that Moore left a big mess on the OL to be cleaned up then showing him he door at this point would be crazy.

I think AppState knew exactly what they handed over to coach Satterfield. Most fans and message board gripe queens have no idea. This was an important step, and it has been reviewed and implemented by people that actually manage people and know what is needed in times of change.
And yet you could go to MMB and find tons of those not satisfied.

Hence the use of the term "gripe queens". It's shameful quite frankly what is said on that board, most of those folks haven't a clue. What's embarrassing is what our own "fans" say about the coaches and players on MMB and AppFan. It's sad.

Must have missed the memo that only certain people are allowed to have, and express an opinion.

Oh everyone has and is allowed to have an opinion. And we hear them loud and clear. They are dominating the discussion:

They want Satterfield fired.
They want Nate woody fired.
They think it was a mistake to go FBS.
They told us so.
And if you didn't hear, they told us so.
We are a disaster.
Youth is no excuse.
Jerry Moore was horribly wronged and he had nothing to do with it.
We are paying the price for our hubris.
We are the laughing stocks of college football.

Did I miss anything?

Yes, but please read the rest with sarcasm except the last few sentences

we keep losing by playing bad football (which we are not used too)
Having blocked kicks to lose games keep happening
Our Oline recruiting mistakes from years ago are killing us
And Corey Lynch is embarrassed to be an APP grad

I think that all i can remember.

I have changed my thoughts on APP Football from now on. I do not have ANY expectations of winning until i see consistent positive play on the field. The record at the end of the year will tell me where we are and what to expect next year.

What not many people have mentioned is that Sean Price killed us by not being on the team. He would be a junior, an option for our young QB's, and the biggest TD option. We could have won 2-3 more games last year and probably 2 games so far this year with him. He really was a game changer.

He was among the many "off the field" issues I referred to in an earlier post. The football program was in a hot mess last year, and they are slowly digging out of it. Considering what has, and is currently going on, it's way too early to disparage the school, the team, or the staff. I understand we all want win, but let's handle this adversity with a little more poise than I have been hearing on the other boards. That's my opinion.

I agree 100% with you

you have opened my eyes , thanks

We are going through a slow, very tough change throughout the whole university and sports teams. We all should step back and let it play out.

Every school has their own message board dedicated to their team and sports. We are luckier than most to have a great one. When you have a lot of fans tired of seeing our team not do well you are going to have many off the wall ideas of what should be done. Doesn't mean they are right, but doesn't mean they are always wrong either. Many are frustrated and venting. Does it help? Probably more for the fans than anything. At least they are getting it out of their system some. Being a fan is not always easy.

Being a fan is not always easy, AMEN! People deal with things differently. They should be allowed to do so without being called out for having an opinion. I'd be much more concerned if no one was posting. As long as they are saying something, it means they still care. When they stop posting, it means they've quit caring.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, it would just be nice if the reasonable adults were the ones shouting the loudest.

It would. However when emotions are high they get involved and that takes things to an extreme sometimes. Not many fans come without an emotional attachment.

I put all the blame on switching from the white "block A" to the black "block A" on the helmets. Switch back and all problems will vanish!

The gaffe against USM is what really hurts. We dominated that game. Now we have absolutely no wiggle room to get to 6-6. Most likely we'll be 4-8 again or 5-7 at best.

If you do go 4-8, that is a different record than last year's 4-8. This year all of your losses came from seasoned FBS teams. You are making progress, even though it doesn't feel like it. You've got a very good young QB that is only going to get better. You have a lot to build on.

Some of us have been saying this all off season, but there are a good number of our fans that thought it was crazy to say 4-8 would still be an improvement over last year. Some of our people make me want to 03-banghead

When I first read the changed thread title, I read it as App State football coach Scott Satterfield given correct change. I was happy we were going to get four quarters of solid football this weekend. 02-13-banana
