RE: What They're Saying About our Tigers!
While I appreciate the local coverage it is the outside coverage that means the most to me. Building a program is part of a progression. Beating teams you weren't beating, creating excitement for the fans, getting fans in the stands, getting outside media to recognize your team, etc. Last night was another step in that progression.

What They're Saying About our Tigers!
Let's build something together, folks. We need to start here and build the crowds with 46,000 as our base. I would like to see a sellout at some point this year.

If the LB is going to accommodate that many then they need to fix the problem with the on-site ticket sales that occurred at the MTSU game. Can't afford to turn away a large number of people because your ticket printer would not work. Someone at either the Liberty Bowl or the U of M needs to confirm that won't be a problem again. And that if 10,000 last minute spectators show up that ticket sales move more quickly.
I spoke to several people who made the proverbial last minute decision to go to the game and ended up going home because they could not get tickets. It will be hard to get all those who were turned away to give it another shot.

Should have let them in FOC, given them a free hot dog, and apologized for the inconvenience. That would have had a more lasting and more positive effect that folks driving back home. No excuses for crap like this happening. Just make it happen. No excuses! A ticket printer? What BS.

How many are thought to have been turned away?
I agree that they should have been let in FOC. Of course, a few select people would have been pissed that they had to pay while others got in free.
Was Bowen consulted before they shut it down? My guess is NO, LB mgmt made the decision. In short, THIS just cannot happen.

They should buy season tickets or buy from the ticket office. people should think about it before they come at last minute now. This is a new era. I don't have anymore extra tickets they are all accounted for. They don't let you into the theater because your printer broke. Print out the receipt or confirmation number or something don't just show up with an excuse. They never let me in for free.
GO TIGERS.

GO TIGERS.
Memphis has always been a walk up crowd, not just for Tigers but for a lot of events. Some people have to wait on pay day, some don't know until the last minute what their schedule is going to look like.
But that is no excuse for something that calls itself The Liberty Bowl to lack the technology to sell/process tickets on site. I have heard that story way too often. I said a few weeks ago that if I were Bowen and had knowledge of this I would have had people from the AD Department at every gate letting people in.
