This UConn writer doesn't seem too optimistic about the Huskies' chances to beat Temple... I tend to lean with his pessimism, but I do think there has been significant progress on defense.

UConn has a decent defense...but the offense is God Awful. Bad QB play. Unimaginative play calling...slow. Temple is always capable of Coog'n it though.

We still have the youngest team in the country.

Temple is an improved team this year.

Temple should win pretty easily.

Temple UConn has been historically close games with some strange things happening.

2007 Temple loses at UConn 22-17 when a very questionable call took a Temple TD off the board with 40 seconds left.

2012 Temple won at UConn in OT when the UConn kicker missed a number of makeable field goals in regulation.

Last season UConn wins at Temple 28-21 on a pick 6 after Temple takes a 21-0 lead into halftime.

I don’t like to say it and i hope i'm wrong, but this game will be closer than most people expect.

Temple has to win this. It will keep momentum building.... A loss here and all bets are off.

Many fans of both teams go into this hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

Temple plays good defense so does UCONN this will be a low scoring game I'll say Temple 21

UConn's D is improved and I like what Diaco (sp?) is doing with the program. However, I like what Rhule is doing with Temple's program better.

Temple wins by 14.

You were beaten in basketball by us 3 times. You lost your football game to us last year by 30 points. So going with that information you haven't beaten us at anything. That is current information concerning any uconn vs memphis games. Your imagining a victory later this year is the only thing any of us can't take seriously.

We've had some great games in the past. I'm hope you're right.

Might as well make this the game thread. I think Owls win a close one. As stated before, many close battles in the recent past. Diaco's team has not quit on him. They will be feisty. Temple has advantage at QB.

23-17 with the Owls scoring a late TD to win it.
