Nice showing on national TV tonight, guys!
Great crowd and atmosphere! Legit crowd for any G5 on a Thursday night. Looking like the SBC made a good choice with these two.

Congratulations Georgia Southern on another SBC win. Two impressive wins in a row. It's early yet, but it just might be a "new sheriff in town".

We'll never know, because we don't have a championship game because the sheriff doesn't want one...

You know, that's exactly what Furman said before we joined the Socon... The last time they won a Socon championship that they didn't share with GS was before GS joined the Socon.

If Furman had a quarter of the facilities we do...that point might be worth something.
By the way, get some temporary lighting in for the next television game. Looked like the game was played during a black out.

I do think that The Rivalry of The Black and Blue game did show the passion and skill both schools have in just a few games in the FBS....Both teams will get better because they have to in order to beat each other....these games are a street fight every time...its the way a good conference can build...congrats to the stink, nice paybacks

Same game though, same game. Be careful thinking you're the BMOC, you may find in no time at all that you're just another Furman.

May be all wet but my honest evaluation: Ga Southern has a nice rushing team and reasonably decent defense. App State could have made this game much closer but poor play calling and the botched call starting the second half on the fourth down really hurt. A good spread team with any defense will beat Southern. Now expect Texas State or ULM to beat them Nice crowd, nice look for the conference but no cigar.

Most of the Big Man on Campus talk is just a joke. Our point is that its probably pre mature to crown GS the new Sherfiff in town when Arkansas State and ULL haven't played a league game yet.

There was a MUSCO light at midfield.
Furman might have been a good match up for y'all this year. More your speed, ya know?

Fair enough, I too would say it was premature to declare the rest of the season a certainty. But I think GS, and APP for that matter, have shown that we're no regular FCS move ups and our team always expects to be in the hunt wherever we play, and usually we can back that expectation up.
I'm reminded of J from the Men In Black movie,
"You chose me... so you recognized the skills, so I don't want nobody calling me son or kid or sport or nothing like that, cool?"

Great game and showing on national TV. It was a fun game to watch. I gave the newbies a hard time but you guys are the class of the belt and a fantastic add. Good luck the rest of the season.

You will learn, its not that easy.
Ask NC State, Ga Tech, and APP
They are legit this year but they will wear down as the season goes on. They are young and depth will hurt them in November
