This was only a proposal to change the curriculum. The district knew it was a hot-button issue, so they brought it to a small group of people, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PARENTS, to get their opinion so it didn't turn into an out of control ordeal.

And most likely, every type of sex ed taught will be preceded with a parental permission slip.

What did he say was wrong? Do you have evidence showing that this was actually part of their curriculum? Because if it was just a proposition, then what did they do wrong? I'd rather have a school-board bring novel propositions like this to parents to see what they think, and feel comfortable doing so, than encourage this sort of undeserved outrage.

Why is the question? Why does a 5 year old need to be told at that age what masturbation is? There's no reason for it, unless the teacher wants to witness it. And, that would constitute pedophilia. Let them learn the same way we all found out.

My wife had a student who had downs syndrome that would pleasure herself while in class by rubbing her legs like a cricket. My wife would have to tell her to stop. This student I'm sure wasn't ever taught what or how it was done. But she did it.
