Broken Vow
Since 1954 when I was a little kid selling cokes at Crump Stadium, I have missed only 1 game that we have played against the Black Bears. It just happened to be in 1967, the very first time we beat them and I made a vow to myself that I would never miss another one if I could help it. Now, it REALLY shames me to say that I will break that vow Saturday. Just the thought of fighting traffic, find parking, going to that pig sty of a stadium and putting up with those drunk a-hole fans of theirs is just too much of a burden for me to experience again. This is something that has weighed heavily on me all summer and it really bothers me that it has come to this, but it has.
Thanks for listening and GO TIGERS!!

If you've been rolling with the Tigers for 60+ years, I think you can do whatever you need to do…

Maybe it's a good omen. Put it on a good big screen with some friends and bring the game to you!

Jeb, you got my respect for going down there.

Like the OP, I examined the pros and cons of going to Oxford. The cons outweighed the pros. The final straw was the parking sticker deal. They won't even allow the Highland Hundred bus charter park near the stadium.

I'll stay up here and enjoy the game. Kudos to the TIGER fans making the trek south.

Don't blame Old Miss, those single wide house trailers down there take up too much room.

I totally agree. I have no fun going there anymore. I don't feel comfortable in any facet of that scene.

What is the deal on the parking.. other than the usual ridiculous chaos down there?

Eh, don't sweat it.

I have only missed one Tiger game vs. Tennessee at the Liberty Bowl, in my lifetime. I'll leave it to your imagination, as to which one... 03-weeping

You not going may mean good things will happen?!?

It's Mississippi. You really have to ask that. No one I know ever said that I look forward to a road game in Oxford. Other than football players of course

This x 1000. Never been in a fight in my life before I went to a game down there in undergrad but got in two within an hour. I can deal with bUTtchuggers talking garbage because they've won the big one before but the fact that Old Piss has never won jack sh!t yet act like they're god's gift to football pushes me over the edge.
