Except for Silverberry Mouton. That Miami quarterback is still seeing Mouton in his nightmares. By the end of the game, he was running to the left almost as soon as Mouton lined up on his right.

Very true. I should have mentioned Silverberry's play. I thought he did a good job. I commented to a friend that Cry-ami's QB was going to need to hit the ice bath for a few hours.

So vanilla that we were in a position for miami to have the ball late in the game at our 1 yd line for a chance to tie? Im assuming our staff wasn't thinking about saving the playbook for OSU at that point and trying everything they could do to actually win the game we were playing.

And what happened on that play? I'm pretty sure it was a very aggresive safety blitz that resulted in a 15 years loss for Miami. I'm just saying.

If you'rw implying our staff waited until that moment in the game to stop playing coy I'm not sure I'll be able to get on board.

The D line looks terrible, as well as tackling. The O will be fine, however there will be some growing pains with Gunner. He is extremely talented, so I expect him to learn and grow as a QB. I think the benchmark is still 10-9 wins. We have an overall better sched than last year. With the talent and speed we have there is no excuse for less than 9 wins.

I don't think these issues are talent related, so the optimist in me says they can be fixed. There is more than enough talent on this roster to make it through this schedule with one loss or less. The pessimist in me says these issues aren't talent related and our staff (I'm looking at you Hank Hughes) isn't up to the task of coaching these guys up. Time will tell who is right.

Agreed. There are just way too many mental breakdowns / busts on the defense, especially when they are in zone. That right there is all coaching. Either the scheme is too confusing for the players or the scheme the DC is running is just a bad one. This was my fear when they hired Hughes and after two games I'd say it was a legitimate concern.

Normally I think that way of thinking is dumb. But tommy tuberville certainly seems like that type to me. But then again tt doesn't seem that involved. Maybe it's just very wishful thinking on my part.
