RE: Birdsong: Could UAB play in a bowl game? ESPN thinks so
Well the positive speculation is a welcome change for once. I would rather be discussing possible bowl games over "why are we so aweful" or "will we even be able to win a conference game" like we have done in the past. Still too early in the season, but I have not felt this great about UAB football in a long time.

One game at a time. Good motivator, but one game at a time.

They do bowl projections weekly. I for one am glad we are being mentioned. If we had played bad we wouldn't be mentioned. Either of those destinations would work for me as they are both driveable.

Playing at the Cotton Bowl Stadium on January 1? Can you believe that we are seriously being mentioned for that?

That game was moved to Dec 26, because of the playoff I think. Still a Big Ten team in Dallas. Hey, wasn't there an FN bowl watch once? Might be time to revive it.

I can only hope there will be an FN Bowl Watch, as the FN Bubble Watch has been finding itself on sabbatical for three years. 04-chairshot

Our new beat writer needs an editor. Sadly, Al.com fired them all.

This kid couldn't have graduated from a reputable journalism program.
