Growth Opportunity
I will really be interested to see how the staff prepares for this week's game. Yes, it would be unbelievable to upset Va Tech, but the real prize to play comes after this week.

I don't see WMU being able to establish the same type of running game as in the last two games, so the game plan will be critical...kind of a dressed rehearsal for UT, BGSU, and NIU. Not saying those schools are on par with Va Tech, just that they present the biggest challenges down the stretch.

I would come out and spread Virginia Tech out with four and five wide. Make a lot of quick passes, and hopefully get guys like Braverman and Phillips out in space on bubble screens and things like that. We likely aren't going to compete in the trenches and blow them off the ball, but we do have some athletes that are on the level that they are. Also, use some screens early in the game. Use VT's aggressiveness against them early, since they are going to be out to punish WMU for their last two losses.

I don't recall us running one single screen this week. I was not able to see the whole Idaho game because I was driving did we thrown any there? You would think Braverman would be a no brainer for bubble screens and jail break screens. I would like to see it. Hell Davis could run Jail break screens when they play off of him. I still believe we need to get the ball to the TE more. Boydon was open several times all by himself. I don't believe our passing game is very "read" oriented. Franklin will be able to run in the MAC, this week might be tougher and I think he can do it. Not sure I want him to unless we are in a real dog fight. Give the kid a week off if we are not in the game, let chance carry the load.

Good calls across the board. As I started with, I can't wait to see how the staff prepares for this challenge. Need to make it through healthy and confident, not matter what the score is

I think everyone is underestimating Franklin and the o line. I think he's about the best MAC Freshman I've ever seen. He will run his game against VaTech.

Amazing recruit for a MAC team.

While I do think that the offensive line is not getting enough credit, and personally, I believe they are better than given credit for, VT is going to make Terrell beat them. The running game is likely to have to beat eight men in the box consistently. If they can do that, then I would be pleasantly surprised.

I hate to say it, but I think this is a game where we see Terrell's shortcomings have a little more light shed on them.

Best view of Franklin's running ability is at the end of that "HOW" video... when you see him running over people into the endzone from the endzone cam angle... kid has some toughness... that is FOR SURE.

RE: Growth Opportunity
I would be thrilled, and jump up and down, for a competitive 17-10 type of first half. I don't want a 28-0 first half with a 17-10 second half.

I think often of the Darnell v. Florida, or Michigan type games. That would be great for us right now.
