I was there that night also. The wind was in the neighborhood of 30 to 40 mph. It was raining sideways all game. We played very well in the rain and MTSU couldn't seem to do anything right. Field goals were basically out of the question.

RE: Week 5: Sunbelt Prediction Thread
Here are my official predictions

Appalachian State at Georgia Southern: Unbeknownst to the App State players, Georgia Southern managers secretly replaced the Mountaineers Gatorade bucket with Water from The "Beautiful" Eagle Creek. Unbeknownst to Georgia Southern, Appalachian State's managers secretly laced the Eagles Gatorade with Goat feces. (That tangy after taste you know) Both teams come down with food poisoning mid game, so ultimately the team with better depth, and the stronger stomachs will win. Eagles 27 App 21

South Alabama at Idaho: Interesting matchup in this one. South Alabama has no offense, Idaho has no defense. At the end of this match...one of those will show up for the first time and rear its ugly head. South Alabama 24 Idaho 21

Troy at UL-Monroe: Poor Larry Blakeney. His wonderful career is coming to an end with a dud. Troy hasn't won in Monroe since 2001. It is not expected for them to start now. ULM 38 Troy 17

Texas State at Tulsa: texas State scores the first 21 points and takes a 3 score lead. Unfortunately, Dennis Franchione immediately intervenes and starts calling horrible plays again. Tulsa scores the next 17 points, but with 2 minutes left, the Hurricane throw an INT that the Bobcats return for a TD. An irate Franchione then berates his defense in his head for not keeping it close. Texas State 28 Tulsa 17

New Mexico State at LSU: The real question here is, will NMSU score? My money says they do. On the 4th stringers...In the 4th quarter...on the last possession. LSU 52 NMSU 7

It would be even funnier if it didn't ring so close to true.

Didn't we make 4 FG's that game?
