That's the combined score of Marshall's first four games at half time.

That's the biggest difference between this year's team and the 2013 squad. We are jumping out early and, in the second year of Heater's defense, we are playing much better on that side of the ball. Our first team defense is giving up about 9 points per game.

The fast starts definitely help our road woes from previous years.

If you compare our performance against Akron to how they played Penn State, our performance against Ohio to their UK game! and our performance against Miami to the Cincinnati game...I think we are a pretty good football team. I'm looking forward to conference play.

RE: 103-6
Our 1st team defense hasn't given up a TD since 6:25 in the 4th quarter in the Little Miami game. They have only give up a FG in 3 games. Akron scored a FG at the 10:16 mark of the 2nd quarter.

The 1st team defense also had 2 goal line stands at Akron. One that resulted in an AJ Leggett INT in the endzone.

After these last two weeks, I would put faith in the herd to beat any and all teams in their way. Also, Cincy didn't look all that impressive against Miami(OH). Makes me feel better about that game.

Cincy looked like crap and truthfully should have gotten beat. But it is a rivalry game, so anything can happen. Cincy only won in Oxford last year 14-0.
