RE: New Season Ticket Holders
I guess attendance at SpectacUALR on Oct 9th will give a clue as to how many donors are unhappy based on how many of them buy those tables so they can sit during the event. Me, I attend the event but can not afford to pay toward a table but I still have a good time.

I quit going to those things when they moved them to the Jack, and if the peons didn't have a place to sit, I'm sure glad I did quit. First of all, I can't walk and stand for long periods, and secondly because that's pretty ****** way to let you know what the administration thinks of you. That's another case of catering to the haves, and shitting on the have not's.

New Season Ticket Holders
SpectacUALR - I think it's fun. I eat and drink with a lot of friends and participate in silent auctions & live auction (collective with other friends where the live auction item is for several persons). I have not gotten tired, and even if I did, there are 5600 seats I can rest in. It's a good event and benefits the student athletes.

Great event. One of Chris' greatest accomplishments. A great time for everyone. Raises about 200K a year for athletics. My wife even got me to buy her a diamond ring, a couple of years back, since I knew the money was going to UALR. I realize everyone's finances are different. But it is hard for me to understand how anyone, who can afford it, that wants are athletic department to grow and excel would miss this event. There's always great food and free drinks. Doesn't cost a ton more than a dinner with drinks at a fancy restaurant- until I start bidding on auction items. Of course, I am usually able to find an item or two that I can get below cost- which partially makes up for what I spend for my share of the dinner at Joe Kleine's are whatever.

I am hopeful that honoring Betty Joe Stephens, who's time with the program dates back to before I moved to LR, will bring out a huge crowd. They have done a good job of picking honoree's who will bring out a bunch of people on their own.

Well your not as old and brittle as I am either, but I thought you said the only seating was at bought tables. Sorry my bad. I evidently thought it was held in the Fisher gym.

RE: New Season Ticket Holders
Bob if you are going to get the Rivalry Package how about becoming a Tip-In Club Member again. We will be having 4 pregame socials in the Jack this year. One of them will be before the 1st Women's game against Mo State on Tues, Nov 18th and one will be before the UCA game on Sat, Nov 29th. We have not yet picked our other two dates but they will probably be two of the Saturday Double Headers as we would have to start too early to do a Thursday Double Header. We will also be having a baseball social at Gary Hogan Field late season and an ASU Basketball Bus Trip on Thursday Feb 19th. Of course we will be having Basketball and Baseball Coaches Luncheons also.
