The NFL broadcasts are depressing
Jeezus H, we get it NFL, please shut the F up.

So the NFL today starts out as it has for the last 2 weeks with a lecture on how bad domestic violence is, corporal punishment, and bad language.

First off, 90% of the population doesn't abuse their spouse, and the majority of the ones who do are probably too stupid to recognize they have a problem, let alone correct it. We don't need James Brown pointing his finger at us and telling us how bad domestic violence is and that it's got to stop.

Second, quit lecturing us to show us "your faux concern" for behavior that's been going on for 40 years with NFL players. Like a small child caught with his hands in the candy jar, you want to appear remorseful only when you're busted. While this is a societal problem we don't need the NFL Today to lecture us on how awful domestic violence is.

I don't tune in to the NFL on Sunday to watch the NFL genuflect before every social cause in America. Please gawd, just start talking about football, and let TMZ and the other gossip mongers sort out the NFL drama.

You and most that post here probably don't need to hear that, but if you think about the people watching those shows, that's probably the closest thing to an upbringing that they're going to receive.

Sad.

Agree on all points.

The other thing that's too bad. There are 1596 players on active NFL rosters. We have spent the last 3 weeks hearing about 4. Don't hear much about the other 1592 that are generally good guys doing the right things.

I actually haven't watched more than 1/2 of the Lions MNF game of the NFL season so far. Its been nice weather on Sunday afternoons, so I've been taking advantage of it on the golf course while I can. I know they say the NFL is the biggest and best sport going, but personally, it bores me to death. Give me ANY good college game and I find in 100% more entertaining.

RE: The NFL broadcasts are depressing
Theres a liberal war against football going on. I think Park Slope and Bay Area libs are in a tizzy that football for all its parochial violence and old school masculinity remains popular. They fawn over the World Cup all summer and try to make the NFL the poster child for abuse and corruption. The concussion stuff, Maddow and Mother Jones obsession with the Washington R Words, now domestic abuse. The Redskins have been in existence for generations, other sports have domestic situations, and there is no actual evidence that football players suffer from more neurological conditions than other athletes. Its all concocted to feed into a MSM firestorm.

Theres been a systematic effort to neuter the American male in place in this country for years and as soon as they felt the NFL was vulnerable they came swarming like sharks with blood in the water. Obama wouldn't let his hypothetical kids play football...this country is in trouble.

The top three rated shows this week. Monday, Thursday, and Sunday Night football.

The media is trying to drive the evils of football, but come Sunday they only care about their team and the game. They're voting with their remote control, and the NFL is more important that all the lecturing and preaching.

Stop following me and flaming, troll. Do you have anything of substance to add to an off topic sports discussion besides cheap insults?

FYI I'm a junior in college and have a job. We can't all be IT moguls with 20 hours a day to spend online.

This isn't a sports board, and your idle political rants add no value here.

Get a job and a life and you won't have the time to plagiarize Fox this way.

What do you suppose the "S" in csnbbs stands for?

You don't make that distinction and if you were capable of more than trolling you could address the substance of an issue and not just attack posters you don't like

Slander?! 03-melodramatic

Right, total slander. 03-lmfao You couldn't have a job, that would require the ability to think for yourself and so far I've rarely seen a post from you that doesn't do anything but troll me! That and parrot fox.

I can't see some troll like you having the ability to hold down a job. You have the thought processes of a full time, early onset dementia, full on retiree.

That's why sharp people do something to keep their brains engaged, so they dont end up like you!

Do yourself a favor, go volunteer. Help others.

I'm not sure you know what trolling is. I posted a thought on a topic and here you are insulting me and making accusations.

You really aren't in a position to tell anyone else how to more constructively spend their leisure time Mr. 33,170 posts.

You and your brethren complain about the brevity of my posts. Now you say it's too much?

Go get a job, get that brain of yours working and then you won't have to copy what you hear on Fox and try and pass those opinions as your own. When you have your own opinions, life is so much better! 03-thumbsup

Your welcome for that free advice.

The title of every thread isn't Desertclown's chance to insult posters he doesn't like. This isn't your personal bulletin board and chance to vent your personal frustration. Grow up and stay on topic.

You remind me of this other bore poster who used to change the direction of every discussion into some political rant aimed at slamming the left, all the while plagiarizing some right wing media mouthpiece.

Do yourself a favor and don't be like him, he's a sad case. Every time there's a discussion doesn't mean it's an opportunity to push some right wing agenda that you heard that day on talk radio or Fox.

You know a good deal about other posters on bronco stampede, but I don't have the first clue or care to learn.

I think your behavior here is a perfect illustration of why there are several active threads on this board about why you are unliked. You want to talk about why the left has declared war on football then go for it. This cyber bully routine is just sad.

Cyber bully? I was trying to help you, you seem very young, impressionable, to the point where your thought process is identical to that of a retired person sitting at home letting his brain go soft.

Take my advice, get busy, grow that brain and quit parroting Fox and right wing talk radio every time you feel a need to garner attention here. It's quite the bore routine.

You own the internet and bronco stampede. Anyone else who dares tread on your board is subject to these frequent off topic rants I guess. Just clownish behavior.
