RE: Bad day for the ACC
If ECU were on the ACC they'd easily be the best NC PROGRAM within ~5 years.

I don't know about that. They'd have to change some of their admission requirements.

You could make a solid argument they already are the best program in NC.

Why wouldn't that be Duke?

That would be their only competition.
Probably a good thing that Wake and Duke don't play ECU more often. I would hate to give the AAC any more ACC pelts to hang on the wall.

Come on man, ECU raped, plundered and pi;;aged you Tar Heels lat week!
Yep. It's happened to almost every single program in this country. Can't win them all.

Let's not make ECU out to be more than they are. They've had their fair share of stinker seasons. Last season was only their 2nd time winning 10 or more games in their history...and that's playing against subpar competition. Right now they are hot. Let's see what happens when Carden is gone and they have to break in a new QB...or when they lose their hot shot OC to another school.

Assuming you're refereriring to Louisville, did our season opening win over Miami not count?

Technically you are correct, but you had just beaten Miami and the end of last season and they were breaking in a freshman QB. UVA game was the first road game..first true test.

Which NC team is better than ECU right now?

I would like to see them play Duke. However, I do believe ECU would win that game this year.

I don't think there is anything technical about it. It's not Louisville's concern if they happened to play their first ACC opponent the prior bowl season. Simply put, Louisville won their first ACC game.

As a side note, Louisville is a combined 5-0 in their last meetings with Miami, FSU & Florida.
