i have watched Memphis have the most sucky team on the face of the planet, we were even down to 50 scholarship players. Still, even with all this awful turribleness no one ever scored seventy points on us

Seventy points. You pirates must really hate UNC. If we ever hung 70 on UTK, they would declare martial law in tennessee. I am lmao

missed 2 fgs also....could easily have hung 80 on them.

I hate we allowed 41. Damn trick plays.

I feel the same way but they scored 14 off trick plays and 14 after we cleared the bench. The defense actually played pretty well. When you score 70 that gives the other team a lot of possessions. All plays count so whatever but sometimes the score does not tell the entire story…I still felt good about the way our defense played.

I have been watching football a long time. I cant remember a school that ever deserved a thorough asswhipping as bad as UNC that actually got one. That was a STFU for at leat 2 generations asswhipping. Congrats ECU

I really hated giving up those last 14.

And I was joking with our videographer about going for 70 and wtihin a minute we both heard the crow chanting "We want 70." Then I joking said...aww hell, lets get 77 and leave no doubt...

If hatred was equal to points, 70 wouldn't even scratch the surface.... triple digits might suffice the Pirate nation.

14 points off trick plays (which typically you don't need if a team is "beneath you")

14 points in garbage time against our back-ups

I know those 28 points count just as much as the others but the fact of the matter is, when we went toe to toe with their 1's our D held them to 13 points.

I know players can't keep on this win but for so long, I am glad we have a bye....as I will savor this win for a long time. While I am hoping for a access bowl, I also know that the rest of this schedule will not be a cake walk, someone is going to punch us in the mouth...there are some teams in this conference that from time to time look decent whose records aren't showing it. I expect to lose minimum one game maybe two from here on out. For the next two weeks however....as a fan I'm going to revel in this win, I love it, all the advantages these programs have it is astonishing this can even happen.

Man.........if..........just if.....that could be the final basketball score later this year..........

It was an EPIC Ass whooping! We don't play them again until 2018. So they get three years of smelling this one. The 2018 game is in Greenville also. Our QB probably BenKert will be a senior by then.

I find it appalling when a superior team runs up the score on a lesser team. Good job Pirate.

and from my understanding BenKert will most likely be a name everyone will remember too...we may be on the verge of "reload" and not "rebuild" every few years.

The ESPN hacks at halftime were like where is defense. I was the you must be talking about unc's defense because all their points have came on trick plays.

70 is the ULTIMATE slap in the face in all of sports. It's not a thrashing, killing, or whoopin'. It's abuse; the type that makes a coach, staff and team reflect on every bit of their careers.


And no institution deserves it more than UNC.
