Not true. The Boise State guys had to endure an SEC offciating crew. In the face off all ettiquite - The SEC does what it pleases.

usually, but the PAC-12 makes you use their refs for any PAC-12 home game. It's actually in their bylaws. I expect an AAC crew for this one.

I still recall the botched "no fumble" call in favor of the Bullies at LBMS several years ago.

Well, if you're gonna recall that...The Memphis @ Ole Miss game in 1994 was horribly officiated (in our favor for once...lol)

RE: Refs for Ole Siss?
I've posted this here once before, here goes again. We played the Black Bears at there place, don't remember the year, but we had the ball deep in our territory on third down. We ran a play and didn't get the first down, we rush our punt team on the field, the Black Bears take their sweet time getting to the sideline because they are celebrating, the ref spots the ball and blows his whistle to start play. Tigers punt the ball, the returner fumbles, and we recover. All of a sudden the ref throws a flag. I'm thinking we will decline the penalty since the Bears had too many players on the field, but that's not what happens. They start walking the penalty off against us. The explanation from the ref was: "the play was not in the spirit of the game". That was the first and last time I have ever heard of that penalty. There are other instances where we have been screwed by $EC refs.

BEWARE OF $EC REFEREES!!!!

Or the BS roughing the kicker call back in 85. We didn't even rush anybody, he just fell down. They went on to kick the field goal to win 31-28. Although we should have won being up 28-0 at the half. Interesting game in many respects. #HailState actually put it up for a vote amongst alumni, students and friends, as one of the greatest MSU games ever.

Egg Bowl 2012...MSU QB throws the ball as he's going down to a tackle...flag is thrown...everyone knows it's for intentional grounding...he's inside the tackles...ball doesn't cross line of scrimmage and no state player is within 20 yards of it.

After a huddle on the sideline with the MSU staff, the ref pics up the flag and the umpire announces "there is no flag for intentional grounding as the receiver ran the wrong route."

SEC has the worst refs of any sport on the planet.

You know, I have to agree. I've watched SEC conference games and have seen -- too many times -- absolutely horrid officiating.

You'd think w/ as much cash as the league has hidden under the couch cushions, they would bolster their officiating crews.

Lucky Lloyds TD which was ruled a fumble. Even though picture the next day in paper clearly showed it was a TD.

RE: Refs for Ole Siss?
Just hope it is not a neutral conference squad and we get stuck with Big 10 officials. Still recall the game when receiver leaped into air at the one in an attempt to catch high pass. Caught it but his momentum took him completely through the front corner of endzone but he lands out of bounds after catching ball. Was ruled a TD and confirmed as TD by replay even though he never had possession the ball while on the ground in bounds.
