On the rest of your season. Your guys never quit. I think your play calling held you guys back a bit.

I enjoyed visiting your board. I'll stop by some and continue posting with you all.

Good luck!

Thanks 32

I've been wanting to see us sling it around a bit and we did that tonight despite our best WR being sidelined with a bum ankle.

We got some bumps and bruises tonight(lost our MLB 1st qtr)we need to mind up by next weeks aTm game. I think we will be alright though. Seeing the LSU score and Mizzou score gives me reason for wins in league play.

I think you should definitely be encouraged by your squad. It's an absurd schedule so you might not get as many wins as you'd like, but you guys are clearly heading somewhere better.

Thanks for being fun hosts this week. You never know how hostile a fanbase will be when you poke your nose in where it isn't invited.
Don't be too down about the game. Your D played well, refs did miss holds all over on both sides of the ball, and you just had some bad luck mixed in.
Starting out 14 down so early has a tendency to deflate, especially on the road. The offense was doing some really good things at times, and probably would have been more consistent in better circumstances. I think this is a much closer game more times than not if it's replayed.

Best of luck for the remainder of the year, and take care. Go Hogs.

I was impressed with your Run D last night. We knew it would be tough.

Still very surprised at the outcome, I thought it would be much closer (as I'm sure you guys did as well). If we play that game again, no way the same outcome occurs.

I still look for you guys to have a very good season, and win the MAC.

Safe travels back home to all your fans who made the trip down. I really hope Razorback Fans here were cordial & welcoming.

Best of luck!

I've been wanting to chime in, but afraid that complimenting your team and their grit in the wake of a lopsided loss would come across as patronizing. We could play you guys 20 mo
re times, and not see an outcome like last night. Best of luck with your season and win the MAC!

Thanks, Swine, but we didn't give you much of a game at all. Really fun talking with the Hog fans this week. You guys are a helluva lot more fun than the Big Ten dopes we usually encounter. Beat A&M.

This comment typifies the class the Arkansas fan base; BTW, I agree with your assessment; If we were to play the Razorbacks 10 times, I think Ark wins 8 of the games; but this result is as lopsided as it would get. Good luck the rest of the season!

Thanks. You guys impressed me. I think if the tables were turned and we ran the kickoff back and scored on a fumble recovery to take a 14-0 lead, you still would have come back to beat us. Our offense (because of a lot of what your D did), looked out of sync. Too many penalties and mistakes on offense.

My brother in law and I were ball boys for NIU last night. Despite the outcome, we really enjoyed the experience. We didn't run across one rude Arkansas fan the whole day. In fact, most of them were extremely friendly. The Arkansas ball boys were terrific with us. They went out of their way to help us since we only had one of us per side. The chain gang members were all terrific too. They asked a lot of questions about our program. They also said they know us from watching our weeknight games late in the year. The stadium was beautiful, the atmosphere was great, the weather was perfect. Southern hospitality at its best. I'll cheer for them Hogs from here on out.

My brother went to U of I I went to NIU. IN 1983 I lived in San Diego and my brother came out from Illinois to see his ILLINI in the Rose Bowl. UCla AND Neuheisel were big underdogs to the ILLINI ranked 5th with 10-1 and UCLA was 6-4-1. I saw the game, and Neuheisel complete nearly every pass he threw even long bombs. I compare that with NIU Arkansas game Saturday night. Illinois was not that bad and UCLA was not that good but Neuheisel kept picking on a cornerback who could not cover with a damn. Completing 25-28 and Illinois was beaten badly 45-9. Bad matchups and taking advantages that was true then and it did not help getting behind very quickly 14-0. But sometimes a good team can look bad. Fresno State was ranked 24th in 1990 came to DeKalb I saw that game too and NIU beat them 73-18. Stacey Robinson ran for over 300 yards the NIU quarter back. Sometimes a matchup favors one team over another and a team exploits it to the max. WELL scores do not always indicate how good or how bad one team might be

A fairly common sentiment from the Arkansas board:

Though we gave up more points last week to Tech, I think NIU might be our strongest OOC game. It seems like you all have an equal offensive line to Tech and definitely a better defensive line than them. I think you all could beat Tech.

I like your team's moxie. With the exception of some offensive mishaps, NIU seems like well-coached team. I hope you all win out in the MAC.

I've been thinking the same about NIU beating Texas Tech if they played. NIU has a heckuva team!
