Soooo this game sucks. But let's look at the positives.

There weren't too many of us predicting a 3-1 start at the beginning of the season.

I just hope that we can get our skilled guys healthy for MAC play...if Daniels, TLL, Brown, Harris are all on the field, I don't think we get beat in MAC play

I still think they go 11-1.

Perez ford is a beast. Was held the last 2 weeks and still flashes. NFL quality talent in a 3-4 scheme

Right now I am thankful that my 7-5 to 8-4 prediction seems way off.

Also seems like we got out of this game without anyone hurt.

If the MAC had a single respectable team this year, I would care more. This season is seems to be not as exciting since the MAC is just so pathetic.

Still like what i saw from Hare. Dude is a sophomore. Not impressed with Maddie.

Hard to tell...I don't get why we never saw TLL...Daniels I can see.

As for the rest of the MAC...hard to tell what Toledo and CMU bring to the table right now...figure they will be tough games though.

But have to believe there's at least 8 total wins...even that would be disappointing.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this start. The QB thing is/was (I WISH "was") annoying, but I think Hare will look a lot better after a few MAC games. NIU will be able to run a lot better against MAC teams and it'll take the pressure off him. It sucks that the hardest game was in his second start....later in the year, might've been a little different but oh well.

Like what I'm seeing from the run D, I have been encouraged by a lot of the young guys in the secondary and the linebacking corps looks like a real strength. Hopefully the D line won't have to rely on blitzing to get pressure in the MAC.

I think the veteran O line will look really good really soon and there's a lot to like when looking at the depth of the skill positions.

Hopefully the penalties decrease but I like how little NIU has turned the ball over. Man did they pay for that turnover tonight.

Tonight SUCKED though.

I'm guessing you're a little preoccupied with the access bowl thing? It's just a guess, but I get that that would be a hell of a carrot and it's something NIU should be striving for.

I have a feeling you'll have a lot of fun watching this year even if NIU doesn't get to those heights, if you want to.

The MAC is a little low on quarterbacks this year, so it looks pretty bad but there's always surprises and the guys getting lumps now might look really good in a month.

Our run D really impressed me tonight. The places where we are weak are QB and Secondary but there is talent there and we'll keep getting better.

I just don't see how MAC teams will slow down our offense when we get everybody healthy and Hare improves.

The big loss to Arkansas sucks, but I'm glad to be 3-1. I think Hare still gives the Huskies the best chance to win each week. It's good that next week is a bye so key guys like Akeem and TLL can heal up. It's easy to say the Huskies will go undefeated in MAC play, but those game still need to be played. Win the MAC West, win the MACC, win the bowl game. Still a lot of good football to be played.

We should win every game by 2 or more TDs the rest of the way. Anything else would be disappointing. We are much, much more talented than any other team in the MAC. More than likely we play a sun belt team in our bowl game, so we should be a one loss team this year given the very down year the MAC seems to be having. Not nearly as impressive as last year or the OB year given the quality of opponents, but hopefully gives us enough clout to leave the MAC for a better conference. Though this embarrassing loss tonight won't help the cause.
