Another note: UAB scored more offensive touchdowns against Mississippi State than all of its other opponents -- including LSU -- combined.

Mississippi State is now ranked #14 in latest AP Poll.

ECU is #23.

the players didn't care that we beat them ten years ago the just see that we have sucked the last five. we did earn respect during the game.

We're a bit of a strange duck actually, for a G5 program. Another possibility is that they weren't quite ready for a team like us. We have some strengths in interesting places. We ain't your typical 'chump mid-major'.

The game was played. We all know the score.

We ran the ball against Troy and we have a new head coach who only was a college head coach for one year. So, MSU had a hard time preparing for us. They had no idea we could do what we did passing the ball. We had a great game plan, and they finally had to just muscle through us for a tough win.

How many new JUCO players are now on the Blazer team? At the beginning (last Feb), we had about 9 from Cal. JUCOs alone - plus 4 from Miss Jucos as well. Any team with that many new experienced players poses a scouting problem for any team on their schedule. I hope we surprise several more opponents as the season progresses.
