Thanks guys. It felt really good out there today. 4 straight wins vs ACC and the way we beat those arseholes. I can't put into words how much they've done to F us over the years. Just feels like a special time to be a pirate.

Might be UCF. Plus we always seem to have a WTF loss. But at this point in the season and after that EPIC UNC ass whooping this could be like 1991 where the team just refused to lose.

Excellent description... could also be said of UCF last year. Hope we can do it but conference slate is going to be tough regardless of what the records say.

There are tough games remaining. UC and UCF, not to mention what I think will be a tough trip to Temple. The nice thing is that we're healthy heading into conference play. No major injuries and Terry Williams is back.

Haters gonna hateā€¦This is a much better team than that one. Also remember that same team still won CUSA.

The good news is that Louisville is gone and UCF is not nearly as good this year. I don't know of any defense in the American that can stop ECU.

Any team that can get pressure on Carden can beat us.

Don't count UC out based on 2 games. And I think UC will lose at OSU next week.

But UC has a potent offense that will only get better as the year goes on.

My hope is that the defense will figure it out and stop giving up big plays.

I have no doubt the UC/ECU tilt will be a good one. Even with the way EC played yesterday i give UC the slight HF edge right now.

Hardy is and will be our best receiver. We have so many good ones that if a team focuses on him we have others to step up. Look at our games and our leading recievers. Its been a different one each game. Worthy is a good reciever but hes not our best and you can clearly see there is no drop off in production. Trevon brown is a stud and I told his mom I was happy that he is a pirate and he played great and we are all proud of him

Texas Tech will regret not keeping Ruffin.

IDK, but I always thought Ruffin as a bad coach/hire for ECU... Guess I was wrong, Ruffin and ECU look like the real deal this year.

Congrats on the win, ECU 04-cheers

I hope we don't count any of our games out. Despite the conference's slow start in the OOC schedule I think this will be a tough conference especially on the road. I am certainly not going to count on a win at UC or when UCF comes to DF.

RE: Looks like the Pirates are gonna kick all our asses...
The difference in 2008 and 2014 is we have an Elite offense. There was really nothing elite about 2008. In 08 played a grind it hope we score enough with decent offense and our slightly above average defense holds up and we run the clock out. Under Ruff most of the time we are looking for blood.

I think it's fair to say this is actually is a top 10 offense. We really didn't even have trouble moving the ball on South Carolina. Our defense is flirting with being as good as it was in 08 as well. I think 08 was better but not but a whole lot. The guy really behind the schemes in 08 is here now as well running this D. So when you combine an elite unit with a slightly above average one I think you get a legit team that shouldn't hold up where as 08 was what it was.

ECU might drop a game along the way (UCF or Cincy), but they very much look like the best team in the AAC right now. Very good chance to run the table (barring key injuries). Congrats to ECU - very good team that should crack the top 25 this week, and that stadium looked like it was rocking yesterday. 04-cheers
