Just noticed that Womac appears to be hurt. Can't say that I've ever seen so many defensive injuries to frontline and back up players on a football team since the "Next Man Up" Texans. My experience and memory may be limited though.

So anyone care to postulate a few theories as to why we are getting so many guys hurt on defense? Bad luck? Curse of the CUSA champion? Tonya Harding?

My tentative theory is that once starters go down, backups, who in our case are usually substantially undersized and maybe not in enough of a game shape?, are asked to fill in for much longer than ideal, leading to higher chance of injury.

has womac been on the field in a game, or did he get hurt in practice?

i have been looking for him but haven't seen him.

He has been on the field. I remember seeing him on the depth chart for the A&M game.
Also, I'm not sure we get Derek Brown back this year. I do not have any inside information, but it seems that he would have been back by now if he were going to get back this year.
