Montana vs. North Dakota State on ESPN3 at 3:30 P.M. Since there is dead space between the early game and our game (none of the mid-afternoon FBS games interest me), I will probably watch that game.

I enjoy good football no matter the division. Watched the D-II game of the week on Thursday.

Have a lot of respect for NDSU and their fan base and program, but I am ready for them to lose and I've always liked Montana.

Go Griz!

They are? I'm sorry, I didn't see that listing. Thanks.

A game in Fargo was probably the most intense atmosphere we have experienced in years. Those guys have a hell of a program, and belong in FBS.

Asked Coach Monken to compare the atmosphere in the Fargo dome to other big venues we had played in. He smiled and said that he had never played in a place like that, louder than Alabama and UGA.

NDSU has a great program, but seriously....18K people screaming in an airplane hanger will be loud. The airplane hanger they call a "dome" is the reason it's so loud. Thank goodness the 100K in Tuscaloosa and 92K in Athens aren't in an airplane hanger or eardrums would collapse!

No problem. I enjoy a good FCS match-up myself.

Just going by what the Head Coach said, he was on the field for all three. I was not able to make the NDSU game, so I just take his word for it.

They couldn't sustain it in FBS. Not without a P5 invite.

I agree. I think they have had a nice run the last 3-4 years and did well in D2 but I don't think they will be able to sustain even in FCS the success they are having. They lost their coach and I would imagine at some point it will just be to hard to get really good players to come there. Could be wrong.

Yeah, not sure of future recruiting of NDSU. That is a heck of a coach and recruiting staff that
Craig Bohl took to Wyoming. Guess App State will see that this coming year when Wyoming visits
Boone.
I will turn one of my TVs onto the Montana -vs- NDSU game
maybe another onto Texas State Catmom.

I can do a game on my laptop, one on TV and another on DISH on my Samsung tablet. Tonight will be a PITA with 6 games on at the same time, though.

If I watch your game, you need to reciprocate and watch my game at 6 PM CT,
App State at SoMiss.

Transfers also help out a ton.

You see the same thing at SeLU. They have loaded up on transfers and built one of the best FCS teams that way. But you cannot sustain success without the proper foundation.

Who has a ton of transfers, besides Troy, that you are mentioning?
You mean ULM?

On the FBS level it does not happen nearly as much. But not having to sit a year going from FBS to FCS allows a bunch of coaches to win with talent they would never see.
