exactly, warrior. Meth labs effect no one else but the people operating them and those using the product.

If we just had government operated meth labs in special facilities and special parks for meth users to use the product, we could tax it and pay off the national debt.

Your logic is not known by many men.

nah, they don't have to government operated. you or i could run a meth lab! we'd just have to meet some safety protocols. gah! more government intrusion! but i also would like some of the proceeds from said meth use to go to treatment centers if that sh!t actually works

nah, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about and really do an injustice to the legalize everything crowd.

Get back to your video games, digital warrior.

i've never owned a television, non digital straight edger. clearly i'm trying to usurp some agenda within the inner workings of the legalize crowd. i just don't give a f*ck what people do with their lives. however it manifests itself is fine by me. i shouldn't have to offer more caveats at this point. your problem is that you don't like being free. you need protection from a nanny state. cannot your guns and religion afford you assurance of a better tomorrow, in this life or the next?*

*the obama pun was unintentional and i in no way have a problem with someone owning weapons nor practicing a particular religion. merely stating that, shouldn't those items (if you will), be enough insurance to safeguard your being? i think you misinterpret my beliefs. i am no anarchist. i believe that the world works best when society reigns. you aren't going to rid the world of whatever you perceive as ill. your efforts are in vain. accept what already is and learn to cope with it. turning somebody into a criminal because of their habit of choice makes anyone who drinks alcohol a hypocrite. take a stance on alcohol and i'll be your audience. but you won't. you're a smart guy, and i've enjoyed this

Now it's just ramblings of a madman, somewhere out there.

There is little chance that you would take the incentive of making meth away because it is already cheaper to produce illicitly than it would be legally.

i know. but if you need a quick fix maybe the convenient store is pretty convenient. weed still is going to be sold underground and meth houses are still going to blow up with or without government intrusion

So what does decriminalizing it accomplish? Absolutely nothing other than removing any recourse if someone is caught manufacturing and selling the junk.

I could possibly concede decriminalizing marijuana and regulating it like alcohol, meaning requiring stores to purchase distribution licenses, taxing it and vigorously prosecuting illicit cultivation and distribution. I can't, however, get on board with decriminalizing any other illicit drugs.
