You have any idea how many Chapel Hill School of Yellow Journalism graduates work in sports media (especially at ESPiN)? They can go 0-36 for three years and they'll still get called a "sleeping" giant.
If they're sleeping, they've been hibernating since the dawn of football. IMO they're dead, not hibernating.

The only time UNC was good in football was when Butch Jones was cheating like an SEC power coach, and the Tar Heels were keeping their athletes eligible with bogus classes.

LSU might not even be the 8th best team in the SEC given how badly the Tigers are getting pushed around.

Nah, there is just more parity now in the SEC than ever before, in my less than expert opinion. Most talking heads knew that Miss State was coming along and was a threat to LSU in this game. I think this may be a case of Miss State being even better this year than most folks realized.

This is how you find out such things.

It was to be expected eventually. We've beat them 14 times in a row and not only are the a beast this year, but their lines average something like 6'4" 330, on both sides... I just hope Miles won't be too stubborn and overlook the better QB.................................................................AGAIN.

There are plenty of Syracuse and Northwestern grads in the media as well and you never hear this "sleeping giant" crap about either of those programs. Maybe their students are taught to be less delusional?

In the case of Syracuse they've actually been a giant before (granted, before my lifetime). That is why they aren't labeled as a sleeping giant. Northwestern's academics and location keep it from being a sleeping giant, IMO. UNC has the location and the academic room to become a national power in football.

No chance. Chapel Hill can't even cheat right. Mack Brown realized this years ago.
