I agree with you accept one aspect. Even legal immigration can be a bad thing when they cannot be assimilated. There are many that believe that legal numbers need to be reduced..and that would be especially true regarding people coming from Muslim countries.

There are plenty of legal immigrants who are gleefully destroying the bases of the United States. They take more than they produce, they vote against the principles of English common law, they strive for further immigration.

Bringing in (or letting in) large numbers of immigrants from ANY particular 3rd world country is damaging. Bringing in that same number from MANY different countries is slightly better but (oh, hell, let's be honest here) bringing in mostly unskilled people is a bad recipe for a country that is already ailing. And that is only talking about the illegal immigrants.

Read a column the other day that talked about the business lobby walking arm in arm with those who want no borders because they want cheap labor. THEIR voices get heard, while the voices of the majority of the U.S. public don't get heard.

In the same column (can't remember who wrote it), he talked about the canard you hear so often that companies can't find enough qualified high tech workers, yet not one single survey is able to find any evidence to back up that claim. Hundred of thousands if not millions of highly educated American IT people are unemployed because once again, the tech companies would prefer to hire non citizens because they can pay them less. So, LEGAL immigration has been perverted to serve the interests of simply the biggest, wealthiest and most powerful special interest in this country and is not serving the interests of the country in general or its' citizens.

Maybe some, but I have no problem with legal immigration. I have no problem with streamlining the cumbersome process we have now, as long as we strengthen the security of our southern border and strengthen the deportation of illegals already here. I am also in favor of allowing the states that already have or are willing to create immigration enforcement agencies to subsidize the feds in enforcing immigration laws.

I do, however, have a serious problem with rewarding illegal behavior which is what you libs want to do with amnesty and I am not in favor of social programs for US citizens being utilized by illegal immigrants.
