Hello to the Huskies
Folkes I'm Jack Blasingame, A hog fan all my adult life.

Just came up here to get youre thoughts on the game this Saturday.

I'm a bit concerned as i read you havent lost a road game in the past 17 tries. Seem to be balanced. How are you agin the run? and the pass?

Just friendly banter.

I for one have great respect for your program. Didn't you guys have the number one running back in the country not long ago. A kid that was third for the hiesman? I don't recall his name but he was a little guy. But shifty.

RE: Hello to the Huskies
Honestly...I think we'll hold up ok against the run in the first half (OK = better than Texas Tech), but we don't have the size or depth at D-Line to hang in their against 50 - 60 runs for an entire game. So we need to hopefully get off the field early and have at least a small lead where you can't just run it down our throats the entire 2nd half, or it could be ugly. Our LB's our the strong point of the D, but there's not much they can do with a 350 pound hog running at them.

if you use the run to set-up the pass...and can do it at all effectively, you'll hit a few big plays. Our main defense against the pass is knowing it's a passing down and getting to the QB first.

Garrett Wolfe. But he wasn't in the top 5 for the Heisman. Jordan Lynch, last year, came in 3rd in the Heisman.

that bad huh? we'll that is our weak point. Might be our weak point i should say. We havent throwed a lot of passes yet. When we do we couldnt catch our @$$ with both hands. So I don't know. Seems like last week we tried to play keep away and not pass and the other team wanted to pass...this week were gonna have to pass and the other team is gonna try to play keep away.

You could be mixing Garrett Wolfe (a shifty running back 6 yrs ago that led the nation in rushing) and Jordan lynch (a qb that finished 3rd in the heisman). Put the two together and you have Michael Vick without the jail time

It was the Wolfe kid I am thinking of. It wasn't last year. he was a double nutted stud at running back. Led the nation i think. I didn't keep up with you guys last year but it sounds like that lynch was good to.

That's awesome. I have a couple buddies down here in dallas that when I met them and said I went to niu, they said they used to tear it up with Wolfe on ncaa.

Pretty cool in my book.

Well I won't make the game ether. I gotta work but I'll try to listen to it on my head set. But for those coming down I hope you enjoy Arkansas or the Land of Taxes as we call it here. Are we doing a home and home or is this a one shot Charley?

Exactly. Should one think Arkansas is a decent favorite? Yes, of course. Is Arkansas fitting into a new nice dress now? Yep. Would it be the craziest upset in the nation this year if consistently-good-mid-major-power beats Arkansas? Nope (see Boston College beating USC). Would it require Arkansas making too many mistakes and NIU playing super-soundly? Yep.

It wouldn't be a complete Shocker -- it'd be a nice surprise. "Oh, the MAC is picking on the SEC now. Phew. Finally we can have them sick on someone else...," says B10 fan.
