Pup Club Update
I continue to say this is one area the athletic/marketing department has really dropped the ball. I still haven't received the T-shirt for my son or any other materials. Without a doubt the last regime was better at handling this than these guys so far. I'm not yet sure if they are trying to play catch up here or what. I think the welcome tunnel is a nice idea but not much else of substance yet here.

Get this when you clicked on the message from Victor E. you can't even read half of his message.

Dear Pup Club Members,
Click here for a special message from Victor E. Huskie!
As Victor E. Huskie said, we thank you for your patience as we get your Pup Club membership up and running for the 2014-2015 season.
There are three ways to get your Pup Club materials:
1. You can pick them up at the Convocation Center in the External Operations Pod (Suite 213)
2. We can deliver them to you (must reside locally)
3. We can mail them to the address specified on your registration form.
If you haven't made arrangements yet, don't worry! Your membership materials are on their way by mail.
New this year, at each home football game we invite all Pup Club members to join us in making the pre-game tunnel on field as the team enters Huskie Stadium. Twenty (20) minutes prior to kickoff, please meet us at the North-West field gate to line up for the tunnel. We also plan on doing this at men's and women's basketball games.
Don't forget to visit The Yard at our next home football game on October 4th. The Yard is new to tailgating at NIU, and features live music, food vendors, and more! Stop by the Kid Zone to make a game day sign supporting your Huskies and check out some interactive games!
If you have not already done so, let us know which football game you’d like discounted tickets to. To purchase your discount tickets, call 815-753-PACK and ask for “Pup Club Tickets”. Tickets will cost $14 and are in section F on the West side of Huskie Stadium.
Thank you for your continued support, and we can’t wait to see you in the stands!
For any questions, please contact us at (815) 753-1828

I love the fact by the time you get the T-shirt it will be too cold for my son to wear it outside, and proudly display it. Minimally it will be covered by a jacket unless we get a heat wave. You never know.

To give the department some credit, the people they had working the kids zone area were very good with my son.

Still no T-Shirt.

I don't understand the half-price pup club ticket situation. In order to keep my seats I was required to buy a full price ticket for my kid. I understand it's on a game by game basis, but if you are a season ticket holder and have a child but need the seat should you not get a discounted ticket?

Are they taking up a seat? I bring my GF to the game, and she is probably less interested in the game than your kids, shoud I get a half price seat for her?

Saw a tweet that they were working on the pup club mailers today. So it seems likely that you would get the shirt by next week.

Also the discount pup club ticket is only good in the corner of the West stands. I really don't get how they thought the ticket would work with a season ticket holder.

You could leave you GF at home. Try doing that with child. Nothing like having you child tell you that you like football more than them. Or having to buy a season tickets that include two weekday night games that a child can't attend because of the late hour on a school night. Now you buy a season ticket and the one half price ticket you get for your child is four sections away and you'll have to buy full price seats just to sit with them. NIU really dropped the ball to include families this year.

RE: Pup Club Update
I totally understand that some fans took advantage of the old program and changes needed to be made. I think they tried to go too much off the old system and they should have totally revamped it.

Next year they should include the pup club membership to kids who buy a full price season FB ticket and secondly sell a 4 pack for $40 ($10 each additional per order) for corner seats on Family day just as a general promo and not part of the pup club.

...I would say for next year the 2nd home game vs Murry St would be the best for this....Run a promo that if you buy the 4 pack you can get season tickets to the remaining 4 games (in sections A and G) at a discount.

+1 that's my point. I really don't get what they are doing.

Just hope it isn't too cold and my son can proudly wear his T-shirt to the game!

If it is chilly, put on a red or black long sleeve tshirt on your son & put the short sleeve pup club t shirt over the top of the long sleeve.

Do a test run with this before game day. If the short sleeve tshirt is too tight over the long sleeve, wash it & stretch it out /shape it while its wet - hang it to dry don't put it in the dryer. That will give the shirt the little bit of extra room it might need to fit over the long sleeve. :-)
