RE: Massey Top 10 G5 Ranking - Marshall leading
Why even worry about this poll…It is meaningless, just like very other poll out there these days. For every poll that has Marshall over ECU there is another one with ECU over Marshall. It will all play out in the end and it all comes down to the playoff committee. They have no set criteria so who knows what they would do if, and it is a big if, Marshall finishes undefeated and an AAC teams has just one loss. I suspect the AAC team will get the nod, not so much due to the strength of the league but the OOC schedule for almost any team in College Football is head and shoulders above what Marshall was up against this season.

Now I think Marshall has a good team and they may very well be the best G5 team at years end but they have not had the opportunity and test of proving it against decent competition outside of their league.
