Pro level in Britain = children playing a game, compared to the men that play in the pacifica area. Watch the Samoans and New Zealanders. Those men do it _right_ every time.

Super Rugby in the SANZAR region is definitely of a higher standard than the Top 14 (France), Pro 12, (Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Italy) or the English Premiership. Those teams just have a much greater depth because the game is bigger there. The Autumn Internationals are coming up in November and that's the best rugby of the year. SANZAR are still better, but the disparity at that level is much less than the domestic leagues.

Owl talks about the advantages of cross code training between football and rugby union, and indeed, the biggest rugby news of the year is Sam Burgess who is a rugby league player (one of the biggest stars in the game) coming over to union. I'm not sure if he'll get much time in November for England but there's a lot of debate in rugby as to the merits of league players and coaches working with union. I for one am a big fan.

We've actually played league to practice some time. It's a good way to work on moves without getting people hurt in the rucks and mauls.

I've enjoyed rugby and Australian rules football for nigh on 30 years. I'm posting this more for ***** and giggles and don't know if this is even real, but what do you think of this 'sport'?
