It doesn't matter much what the odds are today. Lots can change between now and Election Day.

If democrats can hold onto the senate this time, it's time for a complete remake of the republican brand, starting with a repudiation of GWB, Cheney, and Rummy.

I see it more like Silver.

Reagan lost 10 seats in his year 6. Bush lost both houses (hard) in his year 6. The map of seats isn't in the Dems favor.

But the GOP is having a lot more trouble than they should with it. They actually might not retake the Senate (although at this point, that is the most likely outcome).

Then on to 2016, where the map and voter turnout are going to favor the Dems.

Or maybe a remake of the libertarian party where they appeal to more than 4.3% of the electorate.

People. As in plural. That would imply more than one. Not a chance. Nice try.

Nothing will help the Republicans become a majority. The Dems have rigged the system so that a majority of Americans are dependent on government.

We passed the tipping point with Obama. We are now doomed to fail someday and it won't be very pretty when it all falls apart; our financial collapse will make the riots in Greece look like a kid's birthday party at McDonalds.

Liberal, big government cannot succeed in the long run. It always makes promises it can't keep.

It's all good though, because Barry said he was going to cut the deficit in half.

Wait, what? 07-coffee3

I agree. The problem is that too many people believe they are owed something and they have wealth envy. Less people want to work hard to get ahead...instead, they want someone else's money. And with the influx of immigrants from big gov't countries, we are definitely on a trajectory to doom...and it will be epic.
