I've watched the eagles take many butt whoopings, but this is beyond anything I've ever seen. We might not win another game. We can't run, catch, tackle, cover, fill gaps. How many balls can our receivers drop.
I PROMISE you, they will not win another game this year.

What is coach C doing on defense? Again, he's in over his head. Our O-line sucks. They have no fight in them, this is where the game is won and lost.

Are you actually suggesting the coaching is holding this team back? Players aren't making plays...how many dropped passes. Coaches put the players in the right spot and then players need to make the plays.

We blamed English for players not doing their job so the same thing applies to Creighton. Where did Ed get this new safties from? There is confusion back there.

The defense and offense are thinking too much.

They are clearly poorly coached in addition to lacking talent. MSU could put up 100 if they wanted.

That is all I was saying. Creighton needs to coach at higher level. This showed in his time management in the last game. Lets not give this guy a pass on what he needs to do weekly.

I agree the players has a responsible also.

On a serious note, this game could be the beginning of the end.

Wow. 2-16 passing, and -14 yards rushing for EMU +3 turnovers. Not good. 49-0.

I'm a (mild) State fan, but I didn't want to see this for the MAC. Hopefully EMU can keep MSU under 70pts, and put up at least 10 in the 2nd half.

I feel sorry for the team. We looked promising a few years ago and ended up 6 - 6. Then last year the murder of Reed and then English's firing and then a new coach (and staff) and then the issues with Jones, Jones & Scott.

This team has been through a lot and playing like a team which is GROSSLY underperforming.

I turned the Tigers on...

It is mindnumbing to note that just 2 short years ago, we were standing toe to toe with MSU. I was so proud of that game...I think we've all seen in one form or another that be careful what you wish for in life.

RE: Game Week: MSU
In all my years of watching football, I've never seen one team so dominated that they failed to get a first down. This is surreal.

I've also never seen a winning team go to their 3rd QB in the first quarter! Dantonio is trying to be classy but I find that even more embarrassing.

Interesting note: Today on channel 4 sports they mentioned u of m playing Utah and how interesting the game would be. However there was no mention of MSU's (vs EMU) at all. I know that they some time underplay State in favor of u of m. But are they so anti EMU that they won't even talk about the MSU game? Sometimes I wonder. What do you think? If you get a chance to watch their 11 O'clock, see what they do then.

Another note: This lack of coverage also contributes to low attendance -- as well as other factors.
Other factors like not having a winning record for two decades?

Exactly

And now no more comments once we score twice, it's easy to kick someone's when they are down. It's an EMU board, at least also celebrate their success. I'm here fighting off every MSU fan that tries to say a word of smack, why because they gave me a degree and I will never not support them.

In one of the worst offensive seasons MSU has ever had under Dantonio. This current MSU team is one of the best in the country. This was going to be a massacre no matter what.

RE: Game Week: MSU
I don't want to be an apologist to ignore the obvious: This team is really struggling and really needs a bye week.

However, we ought to keep in mind that MSU is a top 10 team and Florida is one of those teams which is easily a top 25 team. They are 21-21 in the 3rd quarter with Alabama (#3 ranked, I believe). MSU was coming off a loss and a bye and was flat out ready to play.

Once again, EMU got stuck with the 'body bag' games against top teams.

No EMU FB team should play a top 10 team (although MSU is part of our in-state series), but Florida too????

ODU beat Rice today. Not a FBS power but a respectable team, nevertheless, esp. at home.
